Lake St Clair morning in Infrared

Early morning at Lake St Clair

Early morning at Lake St Clair

I am never tired of seeing this kind of view.

Tasmania is one of the most mountainous islands in the world and so there are numerous lakes scattered amongst its mountains ranges. It could take a lifetime or two to explore and photograph them all.

Lake St Clair is a natural freshwater lake and forms part of the Cradle Mountain-Lake St Clair National Park. Interestingly, it is also Australia’s deepest lake with a maximum depth of 160 metres (520 ft).
