Mortimer Bay, Tasmania in Infrared B&W

Internet search for Mortimer Bay results in a decent amount of images revealing its relative popularity as one of the locally known photography locations. Some of its more successful images were made during the sunrise or sunsets and often coincided with the high tide. Presence of tide allows photographers to make more interesting compositions that include sky reflections and most importantly allows for capturing fence reflection which is well recognised feature found at this location.

Contrasty fence shadow in my infrared image is dead giveaway that it is photographed in the middle of the day when the sun was high on the sky. Actually image was made last Sunday, some time after the midday.

Advantage of Infrared photography is that allows for making acceptable black & white landscape images even during the harsh daylight hours when practising colour photography would be much more challenging.
