Lake Dobson Pines, Mt Field NP

Lake Dobson is located approximately 16km from the entrance of Mount Field national park . Driving along the windy, gravely road on a way up is unique experience. It is advisable to always keep the eyes on the road anticipating the oncoming traffic. That is especially true for a few very narrow corners with a limited visibility where one would rather enjoy the spectacular display of families of amazing giant ferns growing along the roadside.

Many individual specimens of Pencil pines are scattered along the shore of lake Dobson. However, I wanted to show interaction amongst them giving the viewer better feel for the environment in which they live. This composition incorporates three pines, including the water reflection of one of them which I feel better tells the story of this amazing place.
