About project
If it wasn’t for Covid-19 travel restrictions I would have not considered Infrared macro photography. It seems that opportunities are always near by. Just sometimes they are disguised as a problem we have to deal with. Unable to travel I literally had to change my point of view in order to discover the new world which always existed around me.
I realised that simple leaf or blade of grass can be equally exciting to photograph as any of the alluring landscapes I ever came across. Decisions about the subject matter, quality of light , composition, textures etc. which we apply to landscapes are equally important to contemplate when photographing macro world.
While this project commenced precisely in my backyard it keeps evolving beyond its boundaries. Newly formed ideas continue to challenge my skills and approach to photography.
