Robert Burcul is a photographer, specialising in black and white fine art photography. Originally from Zadar, Croatia he moved to Sunshine Coast, Australia in 1991 and currently lives in Hobart, Tasmania.

After earning his degree in chemical engineering he began his career in industrial manufacturing, before moving on to a long tenure with several leading pharmaceutical companies.

Robert purchased his first digital camera in 2004 and immediately fell in love with photography, publishing his first color photography website in the same year. After moving to Tasmania, he decided to pursue his true passion, mastering the art of black and white photography, with a particular focus on the distinctive style of infrared black and white photography.

Through his lens, Robert strives to capture the essence of nature and the interplay of light and shadow, encapsulating the spirit of landscapes in their purest form. His photography is not only an artistic expression but also a means of sharing his profound connection with nature with others.
